New photobooth news
Hello quirky photobooth fans! It may seem as though it's been all quiet on the Western Front with us recently - it's not that I don't *want* to update the blog, it's more that I don't get the time - it's *that* crazy!
Over the past few months I've been beavering away down the workshop working on a new photobooth project to fit in with and complement our existing unusual vintage photobooths, and I'm finally at a stage where I can pop a few photos on here to show you all what it's about.
The past year has been a whirlwind with well over 100 bookings in 2015, over 120 already booked in for this year and counting. Since I've updated this page we've taken on a lovely young lady called Lauren to help us take out our fabulous vintage themed photobooths and a glorious chap called Craig to take out the caravan photobooth. We've also bought a second caravan to get done up so that Ellie has a backup plan just in case (at the moment we have three unusual and unique vintage photobooths for that same reason) and then we have the works in progress.
So, the new photobooth I'm itching to tell you about! Basically.....it's a living room wall set - and it looks amazing even if I say so myself. Standing at 8' high and around 12' wide at its best it's certainly not for the faint-hearted or the smaller venue - this bad boy is turning out to be a themed photobooth for the big guns. On the booth there are four picture frames, each with a hinged door behind so that you can either go and pose behind the photobooth in a picture frame or pose in front on our lovely little vintage red armchair. The whole ensemble will be finished off with a little telephone table with a gramophone and standard table lamp. It should look pretty amazing when it's finished.

Also in the workshop at the moment we have a gorgeous papermoon style booth - a beautiful crescent moon with a stand so you can literally 'sit on the moon' for your photos, as well as a vintage cinema sign - looking forward to getting all of these little projects tidied up and finished over the next few months.
The past year has also been a whirlwind of corporate events as well as weddings, we've done some fab work for companies such as Bremont, ITV, The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum, London Business School, Britvic, Taylor Wimpey, Next. Sunborn & Riverside to name but a few. New clients have been brought on board and relationships with old clients have been strengthened - so happy times.
So, for all your vintage, quirky, unique and unusual photobooth needs give us a shout - just the right amount of crazy to make your event or wedding really stand out above the rest.

Wedding Fayres for the Caravan Photo Booth
Caravan Photo Booth and Vintage Booth Wedding Fayres
Well, you can tell it's Spring - it's back to the Wedding Fayre season for us with the caravan photo booth after a crazy-busy December (and things haven't really slowed down much in January).
Wedding fayres, wedding fairs, wedding exhibitions, wedding showcases - however you like to phrase it they fundamentally mean one thing - meeting the fabulous brides and grooms that we'll be working with over the coming months (and years, yes I'm looking at you 2016....and 2017.....brides :-) ). To be honest there's no better way that we've found for sourcing new clients as our vintage photobooths and new caravan photo booth are all very visual things and work much better in the flesh - there's only so much a photo can tell you but at wedding fayres you can get down and dirty with them, play around with them, see how they'd fit at your wedding. The caravan booth especially, it's just so lovely to see it in the flesh and has that instant "yes" factor.
So far this year we have attended Hothorpe Hall's amazing showcase (thanks Steph!) - it's always a pleasure to attend this sumptuous Leicestershire wedding venue, the place itself is amazing (check out their new Woodlands venue) and the staff are just fab people to work with. The caravan photo booth was there in spite of the weather!
The Northampton Marriott was next on the list - again just lovely people to be working with and it was great catching up with some (very) friendly faces including the wonderful Silverlinings team who organise most of the Northamptonshire wedding fayres we attend, always well-organised and well-attended, check out the list below for more of their great fairs over the coming months.
On to the Granary at Fawsley, once again working with some great people and a gorgeous venue.....to be perfectly honest I've been contemplating taking Georgie there for some lunch at some point as they not only operate a lovely marquee-barn wedding venue but also a tea room and restaurant in Northamptonshire.....so watch this space for insider tips on the cream teas!
Finally for the shows thus far.....this Sunday just gone saw Georgie and I splitting up to cover two fayres (fancy, I know!). First of all we took the Caravan Photo Booth, Vintage Photobooth and Angelic Photo (for your wedding photographs in Northamptonshire) to Wicksteed Park - a lovely regular venue for us - and then I high-tailed it onto Kelmarsh Hall, a new venue for us. Kelmarsh Hall is a beautiful Grade 1 listed building in Northamptonshire offering an amazing wedding venue. The second Vintage Photo Booth went out to that one and I saw some lovely couples (there was talk of dove releases, helicopters and hot air balloons....and I even made a new friend of a lovely chap who owns Gerry's Split Screen Weddings - a 1966 Deluxe Trim VW Split Screen Camper Van - absolutely amazing work)
Annnnnyyyywaaaaayyyyy......I digress (as usual). So they're the wedding fairs we've attended so far this year (all 4 of them and it's still January) and below I'll post a list of the wedding fayres we have coming up with Angelic Photo, Vintage Booth and Caravan Booth - I'll pop what's going on and where so if you fancy coming along to chat with Georgie and/or I then please do so :-)

The Caravan Photo Booth has landed
Caravan Photo Booth
Wow, I can't believe how long it's been since I've had the time to sit down and write a blog for the site. For the past couple of months I've just been inundated with sorting out and finishing our caravan photo booth - and even if I say so myself I think it looks amazing! The quirky caravan booth finally got finished around mid-September as we took it to a couple of wedding fayres - one at Bridge House Barn in Leicestershire (Kibworth), one at The Granary at Fawsley, one at the the Leicester Marriott, one at Wicksteed Park and finally one at Wollaton Hall........so just a few then!
It's been an absolute pleasure to attend these wedding fayres with the caravan photo booth and the reaction from brides and grooms has been amazing - everyone seems to want the caravan at their wedding because it's just so different and quirky. We've also really been in the swing with wedding bookings for our vintage booth this summer too - it's been a lovely year with us working for some lovely people.
For those interested I'll give you a quick summary of what's gone on with the vintage caravan. The caravan was bought back in April 2014 with a view to modifying it slightly to accommodate one of our vintage photo booths.
At the start of the summer I started work, all of the furniture got ripped out leaving a blank space inside. I sat back and had a think to myself - the walls were all pock-marked with holes from where the furniture was screwed in place an so on, so I decided to then remove the walls.......and subsequently the floor ('minor' modifications....remember!!). The outside got the same treatment with all of the aluminium trim coming off followed by a good sanding and a respray.
After that work got started on the inside putting in custom-built furniture, walls and ceiling - all built to specification with the aim of housing a photo booth. Finally in the second week of September I finished sewing the last of the curtains, fixing the last new window in place and finalised the decorative touches for the inside - what a job! I did thoroughly enjoy the process and having done everything myself it's been an incredibly satisfying job and immensely gratifying to see the finished product.
By the way, our daughter (cheekily poking her head through the door in photo#3 doesn't come included.......although for a small extra fee.........!!
Booking the quirky caravan photo booth
Hopefully you like our 'new' vintage caravan photo booth, we're really pleased to be adding it to the collection alongside the rest of our wedding photo booths - and we've had quite a few bookings for it already, it really does have to be seen to be believed. Now though I can take a breather and a take a little time off over the winter, personally I think I've deserved it ;-)
Don't forget - if you'd like to enquire about the vintage caravan photobooth please do get in touch as it's proving very popular and with there being only one of them (at the moment....!) it's strictly first come, first served.
It's worth noting by the way that unlike many other wedding photo booths we've come across, our caravan (and the rest of our booths!) is fully self-contained meaning there's no additional photographer taking the photos - as you can see on the left hand side of photo#2 above the camera, laptop, monitor and printer are all housed in a discreet package - so all your guests need to do is choose some silly props, push the button and smile at the camera. Their photo is then ready and pops out of the side within about 15s of the last photo being taken - no ugly flashes, tripod stands or overbearing photographers to worry about here!
